WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENTHUSIASTIC VET TO JOIN OUR INDEPENDENT PRACTICE ON THE LLEYN PENINSULA
The practice is situated in THE most beautiful part of the UK. This area was recently voted one the 10 most beautiful areas of the World. Situated on the Lleyn Penninsula with its beautiful sandy beaches - Abersoch, Aberdaron and Tŷ Coch. Within easy reach of the Snowdonia mountains and its numerous attractions - Porthmeirion, Zip World etc.
This vacancy offers the variety of a mixed practice. The small animal work offers a full and interesting surgical and medical case load. We have approx. 40 dairy herds, mostly family farms, with herds of up to 800 milkers.The beef side is a mix of sucklers, store finishers and calf rearers. Plenty of sheep - commercial and pedigrees. Equine work is predominantly leisure horse work with some small studs. We also service numerous smallholders - Alpacs, Llamas and goats etc.
The practice is well equipped with digital X ray,Esaote Doppler ultrasound,Idexx – catalyst and Pro Cyte, flexible and rigid endoscopy, bull and ram EJ, easi Scanners, Interherd , Equine dental equipment etc. Back up and support always available.
Competitive salary offered with an equally shared OOH rota (currently 8 vets). Accommodation within a couple of minutes drive from the main surgery and car provided. Subscriptions and CPD courses paid for including VDS and RCVS. New graduates welcome to apply.
