The Role
We’re seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and expanding small animal practice in North Hampshire.
You’ll be working within a highly supportive team, with the opportunity to manage a varied caseload, develop your clinical interests, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
Whether you already hold a certificate or are looking to work towards one, full support and funding are available.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a varied small animal caseload
- Working collaboratively with a large, experienced vet team
- Sharing consulting and surgical duties
- Contributing to high clinical standards and continuity of care
- Playing an active role in case discussions and team development
About the Practice
This is a modern, independent small animal practice that has grown rapidly since launching in recent years. Now operating from purpose-built, hospital-standard facilities, the practice is continuing to invest heavily in both its team and equipment.
With a strong focus on clinical quality and patient care, the practice offers:
- Advanced diagnostic and surgical facilities, including laparoscopic equipment
- A dedicated night team providing 24/7 inpatient care
- Ongoing expansion plans, including additional theatres and imaging capabilities
- Recognition for both business growth and staff wellbeing
The Team
You’ll be joining a collaborative and highly experienced team, including:
- A large vet team with multiple certificate holders and advanced practitioners
- Skilled RVNs actively involved in Schedule 3 procedures and inpatient care
- Dedicated night staff ensuring continuity and high standards of care
- Strong support from visiting specialists and nearby referral centres
The culture is genuinely team-focused, where clinical freedom is encouraged and individual interests are supported.
The Rota
- 4-day working week (full-time)
- Set day off each week
- Early finish 4 out of 5 weeks
- Protected admin time and lunch breaks daily
- 1:5 weekend rota with time off in lieu
- No out-of-hours requirements (covered by dedicated night team)
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £75,000 DOE
- 6.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays
