Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice

Salary: Circa £55,000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established, family-run independent small animal practice in Hampshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and experienced team.
Established in 2008, this proudly independent practice remains one of the few in the area, and is committed to staying that way. With three vets and a long-standing nursing team, the practice offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on clinical freedom and continuity of care.
The Role
- Four-day week (Wednesday off)
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:15am–11:30am) with a half day the day before
- No out-of-hours
- Working hours 8:15am–6:30pm (typically with a generous lunch break of up to two hours)
- No sole charge
- 15-minute consultations
- Balanced mix of consulting and surgery
- On Saturdays, vets typically finish around 1:30pm for lunch and return by 3:30pm to begin afternoon consultations.
