Calling all vets! Our veterinary travel clinic may be the perfect opportunity for you.
We are looking for veterinarians to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis, at our independent veterinary travel clinic based in Havant.
We are one of the leading providers of Animal Health Certificates and Export Health Certificates in the UK and we have helped thousands of pet owners with the documents they need to travel abroad with their pets. We pride ourselves on our high level of customer service and our lovely team; all of our three branches are rated 5* on Google.
This is the perfect role for someone looking to work in a low-stress, more predictable veterinary environment, or for someone looking for a flexible position on days off from another clinical role. Whether you have a busy family life, are looking to step back from clinical work or if you just want to pick up more relaxed, predictable work shifts on the side of a hectic clinical role, we want to hear from you – informal chats about the role and how it could work for you, are welcome. Please note, we only provide pet travel certification services with no other clinical services.
You'll be supported by our excellent team of receptionists and support staff.
Due to the seasonal nature of our business, your weekly hours may flex up and down slightly depending on the time of the year, but consistent shift patterns can be discussed too.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing and issuing health certificates (predominantly Animal Health Certificates for dogs and cats travelling to Europe but occasionally Export Health Certificates for pets too).
- The above involves reviewing and verifying the accuracy of the health certificates and information provided by the pet owners (although our reception and support team help to handle much of the preparation and client contact in the lead up to the appointment).
- Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on the regulations and requirements for travelling with their pet.
The successful candidate will have:
- An OV (Companion Animals) qualification (although we are happy to contribute towards this qualification for the right individual).
- Experience working in a veterinary practice.
- Very strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience using computer systems and applications.
- Availability to work from 1 up to 5 days a week.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary and bonus.
- A well supported, low-stress practice; you’ll have lots of support in preparing the certificates and documentation from our excellent team.
- A friendly team environment.
- Full training & support from our experienced Official Veterinarians.
- Flexible hours.
- No OOH or weekend work.
- Easily accessible office - we're right outside Havant train station and two minutes from Havant bus station if you do not have a car.
