We are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, well-equipped small animal hospital in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a 30-hour temporary position offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative clinical team while making a meaningful difference to pets and their owners.
This role would suit a vet who enjoys variety in both medicine and surgery, and who values working in a supportive environment where case discussion, shared learning and teamwork are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care to a diverse small animal caseload
- Perform routine consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures
- Develop treatment plans that balance best practice with client circumstances
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff
- Maintain accurate clinical records and high clinical standards
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to clients
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Confident managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- A pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to patient care
