Who we are
Belmont Farm and Equine Vets is a forward-thinking, proudly independent, large animal practice with dedicated farm animal and equine teams centred in the beautiful county of Herefordshire. We are in one of the most diverse and innovative farming areas in the UK. There is a wealth of systems in the practice and all passions would be catered for. We are a supportive and sociable 18-vet team working out of 3 branches in Hereford, Bromyard and Ledbury, striving to provide an enjoyable working environment with a focus on personal and clinical development and delivery of great service to the rural community. We have a full complement of TB testers and a growing team of vet-techs to work alongside.
What's on offer?
We are looking for an additional farm animal vet who is looking to work in all aspects of farm work, with the potential to explore clinically across a wide range of production systems and farming settings. We have a broad spread of clinical opportunity available for most interests from dairy cows and dairy goats to beef, sheep and smallholders. Those with particular areas of interest would be supported to develop a fulfilling role within our accommodating clinical structure with the opportunity to pursue further qualifications.
The role would suit someone with some experience looking to further develop their farm animal skill set and knowledge in a strong independent practice. The package on offer will include a salary commensurate with experience ranging between £40,000 to £50,000, along with generous holiday allowance, CPD, gym membership and private healthcare. We have a clear career structure for vets and opportunities to progress are available to all. Thanks to our dedicated TB team of 9, this role would entail minimal TB testing, allowing any prospective vet to flourish clinically. We are part of the RVC internship program and have 3 VetGDP advisors along with DBR and certificate holders. The practice has a learning culture, and we encourage further qualifications and development.
