Kai Damerel

Lancashire, United Kingdom

Our esteemed client is currently seeking a dynamic graduate veterinarian to join their accomplished team through their acclaimed graduate scheme.

Situated in the picturesque town of Colne, East Lancashire, our client's practice is surrounded by rural landscapes, offering excellent transportation links to the vibrant cities of Manchester, Blackburn, and Preston via train, bus, and motorway.

Recently upgraded facilities include 5 consultation rooms, an induction suite, a separate laboratory, a serene waiting area, and a dedicated colleague wellbeing room. These enhancements aim to elevate the experience for pets, clients, and colleagues alike.

As part of the team, you'll encounter a diverse caseload involving both insured and non-insured clients, providing you with comprehensive exposure to various aspects of medical and surgical general practice veterinary work.

Supported by a team of 3 other vets, 4 experienced RVNs, 3 VCA's, and 5 non-clinical team members, our client is committed to helping you develop a logical, practical, flexible, and fulfilling approach to your work.

This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, including one Saturday every three weeks, and a fixed day off each week. Our client prioritizes work-life balance by ensuring no out-of-hours responsibilities after 7 pm on weekdays and no work on Sundays. Appointment durations are structured for effective time management, with sick pet appointments at 30 minutes, boosters at 20 minutes, and dedicated admin time scheduled daily.

From day one, you'll have the guidance of a dedicated Vet GDP Advisor, and you'll have the opportunity to take paid leave for our diverse CPD program. As you gain confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you'll gradually build your own client base, supported by your wider team. You won't be in sole charge of cases until you're fully prepared.

Our client's Graduate Development Programme spans two years with no financial tie-ins, offering a guaranteed starting salary of at least £35,500 per annum, yearly reviews, 10-12 clinical/non-clinical structure CPD days with covered travel costs, and access to wellbeing support. Social activities are also part of the experience, allowing you to engage with fellow graduates.

But that's not all—our client goes the extra mile by providing:

Join our client and embark on a fulfilling veterinary career with genuine support and an emphasis on your wellbeing. Discover and maintain your full potential in an environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance.
