The role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely Medivet Kingsbury practice!
This role works to a 4-day week with either 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends and a fair share of bank holiday cover duties. There is also minimal on-call, approx. 3 weeks of the year to support our dedicated night team if required.
Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.
Salary and benefits:
This role offers a salary package of up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
£1500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave and in-house training. RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid. Five weeks’ annual leave, plus bank holidays.

Key accountabilities
This is a clinical leadership position within your Medivet practice!
Here, you will provide high standards of clinical care to your clients and patients with direction and leadership to colleagues in practice, to ensure delivery against agreed performance measures.
Ensuring Medivet policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented in your practice and adhered to by all your team (e.g. Medivet preferred drug policy)
You will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of your practice and overall team performance and engagement. Ensuring the delivery of exceptional clinical quality and care standards in your practice always encouraging a progressive clinical culture.

Medivet Kingsbury is a great practice based in North London, equipped with x-rays, dentistry facilities and in-house lab.
The clinic is excellently situated just 10 minutes away from our Hendon 24-Hour Hospital, providing a wider connection of colleagues to call upon for support or advice!
Medivet Hendon 24-Hour houses an MRI/CT unit and so treats many interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Additionally, it is equipped with endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods and much more! The group is also supported by it's own pet blood bank, laboratory as well as other services.
The hospital also manage all out of hour care for the region.
