An exciting position has arisen with our client based in Leicester, for an experienced Vet to step up into a lead position! You would be working for a group of four successful practices that run independently and see their own varied caseloads. On site across these practices are certificate holders in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery and emergency critical care. There is also a dedicated 24/7 emergency hospital service in one of the locations - equipped with CT machine, video endoscopy, ASIF kit, TPLO/TTA/Tightrope, arthroscopy, Phacoemulsification and advanced ophthalmology equipment, dedicated 24 hour nursing and vet teams, and much more

The team you will be joining like to enjoy socialising outside of work when possible, and have a real team spirit - any new associates will be warmly welcomed! The branch is well equipped with digital x-ray, quality ultrasound, dental equipment, in house labs, dedicated operating theatres, and they carry out all standard primary care procedures daily.

This position is part-time, working 36 hours over 3-4 days, as well as 1:4 Saturdays 8.30am-2pm, and 1:15 Sundays 8am-7pm (with extra pay). Full-time options are available.

Your role as Lead Veterinary Surgeon will involve leading the team and working clinically alongside them, as well as managing the clinical activities of the vets. You would also act as the first line of management for the Vet team (3 vets). Your role will be to develop the team to optimise uptake of clinical services.

Lead Vets work closely with the CD to provide leadership, co-ordination, ensure adequate cover for shifts, appropriate training and development to their team and undertake clinical duties of the vet.

You will be supported and encouraged to study for a Certificate should you want to.
