Lead Veterinary Surgeon | (Small Animal)
Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE
4- or 5-day week • No on-call • 1:5 weekends
We’re looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon ready to step into a leadership role at a forward-thinking practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead clinically, mentor a supportive team, and help shape the future direction of a growing, well-equipped hospital environment.

The Opportunity
- Provide clinical leadership alongside the Clinical Director
- Support and mentor the veterinary team
- Protected admin time and a genuine focus on work–life balance
- Varied caseload from routine to more advanced cases
- Excellent facilities including dental X-ray, laparoscope and gastroscope
What We’re Looking For
- Confident vet with strong clinical decision-making
- Passion for team development, mentorship and maintaining high standards
- Ability to drive clinical governance and uphold best practice
- Calm, supportive approach in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player who values great client care
Key Details
- 40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days
- 1:5 weekend rota (currently 1:10)
- No on-call
- Supportive admin structure (HR, H&S, finance)
