π€ About the Role and Team
As a Lead Vet, the successful candidate will line manage a wonderful team of 8 clinicians. This is a clinical-focused role with 0.5 days of dedicated admin time per week to ensure smooth leadership and support from the Practice Manager and Clinical Director. π©Ί
- The Team: Work alongside certificate holders in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, and ECC. π
- The Facilities: Equipped with an in-house CT scanner, digital X-ray, video endoscopy, and advanced surgical kits (TPLO/TTA). π¬
- The Schedule: 40 hours over 4β5 days. A 1:4 Saturday rota is required, with additional paid Sunday shifts available. Best of all? There are no nights, as a dedicated night team is already in place! π
β¨ About You
To be considered for this leadership position, candidates should possess:
- RCVS Registration with a minimum of 5 years of GP experience. π
- Surgical Confidence: Ability to perform routine neutering, exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, and GDVs independently. πͺ
- Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in abdominal ultrasound, TFAST, and AFAST imaging. πΈ
- Leadership Qualities: A passion for encouraging team development. Previous management experience is a plus, but support is available for those stepping up. π
- Efficiency: Comfortable with 15-minute consultations and routine dental cases. π¦·
