I'm working with an independent practice in Lincolnshire who have an extremely rare opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team with live-in, rent free accommodation available.
The practice are in a position to support new graduates, preferably those with a strong inclination to do a Small Animal Medicine Certificate or already holding one of these - this will be funded by the practice, course attended in working time and a five figure pay-rise given upon completion.
The practice are able to offer comprehensive support as required and more than half of the practice's team joined them as new-graduates who are still there, showcasing the practice's dedication in nurturing their talent=. A dedicated VetGDP Advisor will be available to support you, as well as the team of ten vets, including certificate holders in internal medicine & diagnostic imaging, as well as a team of ophthalmologists.
The practice offer a 4 day working week, with 35 days annual leave. The night-time out of hours rota is a very quality of life friendly one in ten. There is currently very little out of hours work. Nurses do the overnight patient care, not veterinary surgeons. All new grads work only alongside a more experienced veterinary surgeon at nights or at weekends until they feel experienced enough to manage alone. Even then, the support continues.
The practice are offering a starting salary of £37,000 per annum for new graduates, plus rent-free accommodation. Those with more experience will be offered a salary in that reflects your skill level and experience in practice.
