Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon – Lincolnshire
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent | OOH Role | 7-on, 21-off Rota
Hours: 18:30 – 08:30 | Small Animal & Exotics | Sole Charge
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established out-of-hours emergency service in Lincolnshire. If you have a genuine passion for emergency and critical care and are looking for a role that balances clinical challenge with generous downtime, this could be the perfect fit.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and forward-thinking team who pride themselves on delivering outstanding ECC care across East Lincolnshire, in close collaboration with the daytime team at their sister practice.
The Role:
- Out of Hours Emergency Vet (Small Animal & Exotics)
- 7 nights on, 21 nights off – starting Monday evening, finishing the following Monday morning
- Sole charge required (full support structure in place)
- Manage a varied ECC caseload including medical and surgical procedures, inpatient care, diagnostics, and emergency consults
The Practice:
- In-house Idexx lab (haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis)
- Coagulation profiler, EPOC, ECG
- Digital and dental radiography
- Advanced ultrasound and anaesthetic monitoring
- A supportive nursing team with a strong ECC skillset
What’s On Offer:
- Salary between £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience
- CPD fully funded, including ECC-specific development support
- On-site accommodation available
- RCVS, VDS and professional membership fees covered
This role is ideally suited for someone with excellent clinical judgment and a calm, methodical approach under pressure. Vets working towards or holding ECC certificates are especially encouraged to apply.
