Our client, a proudly independent veterinary situated in Stamford, on the border of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire, has a supportive team and great environment. The team aims for top-notch care in all they do.
If you desire freedom in your clinical work, a supportive team, experienced management, and a lovely client base, please read on. Our client offers a fantastic opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. New graduates are welcome, but 2-3 years post-qualified experience is preferred.
You must be MRCVS registered and competent in consults and surgery. Full support is provided, and appointments allow ample time for treatment plans and discussion.
Hours are negotiable, ideally full time with a permanent position. The typical working day is 8:15 am – 6 pm, with time allocated for paperwork and client communication during these hours. Lunch breaks are protected with no interruptions.
Weekends involve working on a 1 in 4 rota. Saturday consults are from 8:15 am – 11 am and 2:30 pm – 4 pm. Sunday check-in and care are required if there are inpatients, with a nurse available on-site. Tuesday is a day off after a weekend shift.
Out of Hours care is provided by external providers, with the practice covering inpatient care. There's a 1 in 4 weeknight cover mainly via phone for advice.
You'll join a close-knit and supportive team of 5 Vets, 3 RVNS, 1 SVN, 2 ANA, and 4 receptionists. The practice motto is 'Treating pets as our own.'
The practice, established in 1851, serves Stamford, Market Deeping, and nearby areas. It's equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources for gold-standard care.
