An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent, gold-standard practice based in South Lincolnshire, close to the borders of Rutland, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. This role would suit both confident recent graduates and experienced vets looking for genuine clinical freedom, strong team support, and an excellent work–life balance.
The Role
You’ll be joining a friendly, close-knit team where collaboration, humour, and high clinical standards are part of everyday life.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality small animal consultations and surgery
Working with true clinical autonomy, with experienced support always available
Building strong client relationships and contributing to case discussions
Maintaining gold-standard patient care across a varied caseload
Consults are 15 minutes as standard, with longer appointments allocated for complex or sensitive cases. You’ll also benefit from protected 1-hour lunch breaks every day, with no interruptions.
Working Pattern
Weekdays: 8:15am – 6:00pm, with protected admin and case development time
Saturdays: Short consult-only days on a rota (8:30–11:00am and 2:30–4:30pm)
Bonus: A full Thursday off before any Saturday worked
Full-time preferred, but flexible working patterns are very much open for discussion

In-house analysers, Zoetis Imagyst cytology and HT Vista
Advanced PMS with AI dictation and smart note-search functionality
Digital X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy
Separate dental suite and operating microscope
Sevoflurane anaesthesia, advanced monitoring (including capnography), active warming
Class 4 K-Laser
