Salary: Up to £85,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, well-equipped 24-hour practice in Liverpool. This role is offered initially as maternity cover; however, there is potential for the position to develop into a longer-term opportunity within the wider organisation for the right candidate.
This is an ideal role for a vet with a passion for emergency and critical care who is seeking flexibility, clinical autonomy, and a strong team environment.

The Role
- Fixed-term maternity cover position with future opportunities
- Part-time: 7 nights per month (7 on, 21 off rota)
- Work within a 24-hour practice handling emergency and critical care cases
- Provide high-quality overnight care and clinical decision-making
- Involved in patient handovers and continuity of care
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care during overnight consultations and procedures
- Provide clear, compassionate communication and updates to clients
- Create tailored treatment plans with accurate cost estimates
- Maintain high standards of clinical, regulatory, and operational compliance
- Support clinical handovers and continuity of patient care
- Contribute to team development, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
