The Opportunity
We are working with a forward-thinking veterinary group launching an innovative clinic in Milan in 2026. This is a unique chance to step into a Medical Director position from the very beginning—shaping clinical standards, building a team, and driving a modern approach to patient care centred around prevention, longevity, and high-quality diagnostics.
The clinic is a spacious, purpose-built 220sqm environment designed to support excellent clinical outcomes, equipped with a full in-house diagnostic suite and advanced facilities.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role combining clinical excellence with strategic oversight.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing clinical team
- Setting and maintaining exceptional clinical standards
- Driving a strong focus on preventive and proactive veterinary care
- Overseeing clinical governance, protocols, and best practice
- Supporting the growth and success of a brand-new clinic
- Working collaboratively to build a positive, progressive culture
Facilities
You’ll be working in a modern, well-equipped clinic with:
- In-house haematology and biochemistry
- Digital x-ray
- Cardiac monitoring
- Body composition analysis
- Dedicated metabolic and fitness assessment suite (including canine treadmill with VO₂ measurement)
- Hydrotherapy facilities
About You
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with leadership or senior-level experience
- Passionate about high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
- Strong interest in preventive medicine and long-term patient outcomes
- Confident leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team
- Italian language skills preferred (or willingness to learn)
