We are recruiting for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to cover maternity leave at a friendly, well-established practice in Northamptonshire. This is a long-term fixed term locum position, offering stability, a varied caseload and on-site accommodation if required.
Key details
• Dates: 20 March 2026 to 30 April 2027
• Contract: Fixed term locum maternity cover
• Hours: Full time, 44 hours per week
• Working pattern: 4 days per week, 8am–7pm
• Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 8am–1pm
• Pay: PAYE
• Accommodation: On-site accommodation available
The role
This is a mixed role with a balance of consultations and routine surgical work. You’ll be working as part of a supportive and experienced team across two practice sites. Ideally, candidates will have their own transport to allow flexibility between sites, however this is not a deal breaker for the right vet.
