JR is recruiting for an experienced Vet with a surgical bias on behalf of a well-established, friendly practice in Northamptonshire. This is a rare opportunity for a vet who wants to take real ownership of surgery — with all surgical cases directed your way from day one.
The Details
- 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital
- No out of hours
- Part time applications also welcome
The Practice
A well-equipped, supportive practice with a long-standing and loyal client base, including:
- Ultrasound, ECG and dental facilities
- In-house laboratory
- Separate cat and dog wards
Located in a charming market town with excellent local amenities, easy countryside access and strong road links via the M1 and A45.
The Role
This is the opportunity for a surgically motivated vet to step into a position of real clinical ownership. You will take the lead on all surgical cases within the practice, growing your confidence, expanding your repertoire and developing your own caseload over time — supported by a friendly, collaborative team throughout.
- Lead all surgical cases within the practice
- Deliver high quality consultations and clinical care
- Develop tailored treatment plans for each patient

- A qualified MRCVS with a genuine passion for surgery
- Confident across a broad range of surgical procedures
- Motivated by clinical ownership and the chance to grow a caseload
- A team player who leads by example and supports those around them
