An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in surgery to join a well-established small animal practice in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for a vet looking to take the lead on surgical cases, develop advanced skills, and build a dedicated surgical caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment.
With no other surgically biased vets in the team, this position offers genuine autonomy and the chance to shape and grow the surgical offering within the practice.

The Role
- Full-time: 40 hours across 4 days (flexible/part-time considered)
- 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends at a 24-hour hospital
- No out-of-hours commitments
- High level of surgical exposure and autonomy
- Opportunity to expand surgical repertoire and clinical confidence
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality clinical care, with a strong focus on surgery
- Take ownership of surgical cases within the practice
- Develop and communicate tailored treatment plans with clients
- Maintain high standards of clinical and regulatory compliance
- Support and mentor colleagues, contributing to team development
