Independent Veterinary Specialists referral centre specialising in orthopaedics, neurology and soft tissue surgery is seeking a Small Animal Surgery Intern to join its surgical team. The internship will be over 12 months, 40 hours a week with 1 night a week OOH. The role offers hands on experience across orthopaedic, soft tissue and neurosurgery including anaesthesia, perioperative patient care and diagnostic imaging, alongside client and referring veterinary communication. Ideal for a vet aspiring to pursue an ECVS Small Animal Surgery Residency, the position provides excellent clinical development through case discussions, journal clubs, seminars and structured learning. Candidates must be RCVS registered, have the right to work in the UK and possess excellent English communication skills. First opinion experience is highly desirable, but a previous rotating internship is not essential. Participation in the OOH rota is required.Competitive salary, RCVS and VDS fees covered plus benefits.
