Are you a vet who loves the unpredictability of a mixed caseload? JR Veterinary is seeking an enthusiastic Surgeon with 2+ years of experience to join a long-established, award-winning practice in the stunning Scottish Borders.

The Role: A True Mixed Caseload

This is a varied position where no two days look the same. You will be joining a forward-thinking team that holds an ISFM Gold award and a Bronze iiE Sustainability award, reflecting their commitment to both patient care and the environment.

• The Split: A balanced mix of 60% Small Animal, 30% Large Animal, and 10% Equine.
• The Facilities: A purpose-built, RCVS-accredited surgery equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray (including dental), and multiparameter monitoring.
• Special Interests: Clinical growth is highly encouraged. Whether you want to pursue a certificate or develop a specific niche, you will have the funding and the caseload to do so.

The Rota: Focus on Wellbeing

Our client understands that a good work-life balance isn't just a buzzword—it's a requirement.

• Short Week: Just 25 hours (3 days) per week.
• Sociable Hours: Evening surgery ends at 6:00 pm.
• Weekends: A fair 1 in 5 rotation, with the following Monday off to ensure you recharge.
• On-Call: Just one night per week, with full support available if needed—ideal for building confidence in emergency work.
