Our client is currently seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. The salary for this position can reach up to £70,000 (pro-rata for part-time)

The primary responsibility of the role is to provide top-tier, first opinion veterinary services, bolstered by our seasoned, fully qualified nursing and clinical teams. With the autonomy to pursue and thoroughly investigate cases to a superior standard, the successful candidate will make a positive impact from day one and will eagerly contribute to our ongoing expansion. they are seeking an individual who is a team player and harbors aspirations for future career advancement.

The position offers a flexible work-life balance tailored to your needs. While the role is permanent and full-time, requiring 40 hours per week spread over 4-5 days, part-time arrangements can be accommodated based on individual requirements.

Consultations are available 7 days a week, and the incumbent will partake in an on-call rotation solely for in-patient care, with assistance from our permanent Night Registered Veterinary Nurse team, one night per week, and 1:5 weekends (Friday to Sunday, with compensatory time off). Weekends entail Saturday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 8 am to 12 pm, comprising consultations, in-patient checks, and emergencies. This setup ensures continuity of care for our vets and patients without necessitating transfers to other facilities.

The practice boasts a diverse range of surgical and medical cases, supported by laparoscopy and endoscopy equipment, digital radiography, and CT scanning capabilities. The team includes certificate holders in cardiology, surgery/orthopaedics, dentistry, and internal medicine. Collaborating with the University of Nottingham Vet School provides opportunities to work alongside leading surgeons and clinicians. Nestled in the rural East Midlands, our client offers a picturesque market town setting with excellent transportation links, reputable schools, and a plethora of leisure activities nearby.

Join this cohesive and experienced team, comprising 8 vets, including certificate holders in various specialties, 10 registered veterinary nurses (including 3 night-registered veterinary nurses and advanced certificate holders), 2 student nurses, and 3 hospital assistants, supported by 12 customer care staff.
