Sheffield, United KingdomAbout this vacancy and our Client!
Are you a Vet in the Sheffield area looking for a fresh new challenge in a small animal, first opinion practice?
Our Client runs a two branch practice in the south Sheffield area which proudly hold a loyal clientele and have all the mod cons you would expect of a RCVS-accredited practice. Their modern facilities and equipment include (but are not limited to) purpose built operating theatres, x-ray, in-house laboratory, laparoscopic surgical kit and CO2 laser.
The team currently consists of nearly 10 Vets and over 10 on the nursing team, with most of the Vet team either having certificates or studying towards one (incl. exotics and zoology). They have a higher-than-average exotics caseload and it is a large part of their practice & what they are known for. If you have an interest in exotics, this is certainly the place to either learn more or gain more experience.
Close to the Peak District, you will be able to explore a beautiful part of the world in your spare time, as well as embracing the bigger city life.
As a Vet at this practice, you will be split across various shifts such as consulting, operating, work ups, inpatient care and out of hours duties. There is also a super varied caseload across both medicine and surgery for you to work with.
The practice love employing people who love what they do & support them with this – your personal interests and specialisms will be highly encouraged.
This is a full-time, permanent position covering 4 days a week. With only 1:6 weekends (with TOIL) you will have an enviable work/life balance. The practice work really hard to keep work at work to make sure their team are well rested & looked after.
There is some OOHs work up until 10pm and this will be in sole charge, so you will have to be a confident, experienced Vet.
