An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in emergency and critical care to join a night team at a 24-hour hospital practice in Shropshire. This part-time position offers a unique rota pattern with exceptional time off, working alongside an advanced clinical team that includes surgical certificate holders.
Role & Schedule Details:
- Working Pattern: Part-time 3-week repeating rota (5 nights on, 16 nights off, averaging 20 hours per week)
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Off
- Week 3: Off
- Shift Times: 19:00 – 08:00
- Clinical Setup: 24-hour facility featuring 5 consulting rooms, 2 theatre suites (including advanced surgery setup), a dental suite, and separate cat and dog wards
- Caseload: Diverse caseload including soft tissue, orthopaedic, inpatient, and emergency cases
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for ECC and developing technical capabilities.
- Strong focus on client empathy and patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player able to work seamlessly alongside the daytime clinical team.
