A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well‑established, busy practice in Somerset. This role is ideal for someone who treats every patient as their own and values a supportive, friendly team environment. The position offers a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
You will be joining a settled team with long‑standing members across the clinical and support staff. The practice is designed to offer rewarding work, with excellent facilities including multiple consult rooms, a dedicated theatre, isolation wards and a well‑equipped colleague space.
The Role
The practice operates with a clear diary structure, regular catch‑ups and strong clinical communication channels. You will need a broad range of GP skills and confidence in everyday small animal medicine and surgery. Sole charge is required one day per week and occasionally at weekends.
Consults are 15 minutes as standard, with additional time allocated when needed. The caseload is varied, offering plenty of opportunity to utilise and develop your clinical skills.
The role is full time, but part‑time hours can be considered. A 1 in 4 weekend rota applies.
