A passionate Veterinary Surgeon is required to join a dedicated out-of-hours team at a well-equipped hospital practice in South Yorkshire. This position is ideal for a clinician who thrives in emergency and critical care and wants to deliver accessible, high-quality care with complete continuity between night and day teams.
Role & Schedule Details:
- Working Pattern: 7 on, 14 off rota (averaging 28 hours per week)
- Shift Times: 18:30 – 07:30
- Clinical Setup: Hospital features 10 modern consulting rooms, 4 operating theatres, X-ray, dental suites, and separate cat and dog wards
- Caseload: Diverse caseload encompassing surgical, medical, in-house orthopaedics, and ECC cases
- Support: Supported by nurse-led overnight care for stable inpatients, as well as established daytime first-opinion and referral teams
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon passionate about ECC and expanding clinical skills.
- Empathetic approach towards clients and patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player able to work seamlessly with the daytime clinical team.
