Our client, a well-established small animal practice based in Staffordshire, is looking to recruit a Vet Surgeon to join their team.
The role is full time (ideally - part time considered), working 40 hours across 4 days. Your day off will be fixed each week. There is also a shared Saturday rota, 1 morning in 6 (8.30-1) and 1 whole Saturday in 6 (8.30-5).
The role is a mixture of routine, advanced and ECC cases. Depending on interests, there will be at least 1 day per week of surgery.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a surgeon who feels comfortable with all first opinion duties and enjoys being an all-round GP Vet.
You will be working with a supportive team, who are motivated and proactive. There is a team of 9 Veterinary Surgeons with a certificate holder in Ophthalmology. Three Vet Surgeons within the team are also working towards certificates including in Surgery and emergency and critical care (ECC).
The practice sees a varied caseload of routine and more advanced primary care services including orthopedic surgery, laparoscopic spay and laparoscopic biopsy, soft tissue surgery, eye, heart and skin treatments, arthritis management and cancer treatment. They also offer referral services in ophthalmology.
Both of their sites are well-equipped with a great range of equipment including; Digital x-ray, ultrasound at both sites, large and small endoscope, electrocautery, cryotherapy, ophthalmic loops, dental equipment, orthopaedic air-powered tools, slit lamp, tono pens and more.
