A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take full clinical ownership of a brand‑new small animal practice in West London. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will shape the surgery from day one, build your own team and influence every aspect of clinical standards, culture and patient care.
The Practice This new, purpose‑built surgery has been designed with modern facilities and a focus on both patient and team wellbeing. You will have the autonomy to help shape workflows, clinical protocols and the overall direction of the practice from the very beginning.
The Role As Head Vet, you will take a combined clinical and leadership position, responsible for:
- Leading and inspiring the clinical team
- Setting and maintaining high standards of clinical governance
- Delivering excellent first‑opinion medicine and surgery
- Supporting and developing colleagues
- Building strong client relationships
- Helping shape the culture, identity and success of the practice
This role is ideal for a confident, forward‑thinking vet who wants to take ownership and build something meaningful from the ground up.
Working Pattern
- 4 days per week (9‑hour shifts)
- 1 in 4 weekends
- Average 39 hours per week
- Dedicated admin time built into every shift
