We have an opportunity for a Small Animal Vet to join our fantastic, supportive team.
About us:
Our practice opened in 2000, the first small animal veterinary surgery in Ossett and many of our team have worked with us for over a decade.
At Palmer and Duncan we pride ourselves on providing the best possible care in a compassionate and friendly atmosphere and work hard to build close relationships with our clients and patients.
Our small but perfectly formed team of 26 made up of 8 vets, 9 nurses and 9 on our client care team, work collaboratively in a positive and supportive environment. We want every member of our team to flourish within their role and CPD is actively encouraged. We’re proud to have recently been awarded the maximum 3 Stars in the recent employee engagement survey.

The Role:
- Salary commensurate with experience
- 20 hours average working week across 3 days
- 1:6 weekends
We’d love to welcome a caring and confident vet to our warm and friendly team! If you’re great at building relationships with clients, skilled in soft tissue surgery and medicine, and passionate about giving every patient and client the best care, we’d love to hear from you.
The Area:
Our practice is based in the West Yorkshire town of Ossett just a few miles outside Wakefield and only 12 miles from Leeds. All that city life has to offer is easily accessible including theatres, bars, restaurants, sporting and music venues plus plenty of shops and our very own twice weekly Ossett market.
There are lots of activities for the outdoorsy types in the surrounding countryside and we have great travel connections being just off the M1.
