Veterinary Hospital are seeking a Clinical Director with a strong focus on Large Animal to join a team at a Well Established, Mixed Veterinary Hospital in Ireland. Registered Hospital Awarded by the Veterinary Council of Ireland’s Practice Accreditation Scheme. The Hospital is 50% small, 30% Large, 20% Equine. The team consists of 4 Vets, 2 Nurses and 5 Support. Motivated team with great support network, and providing a fantastic learning environment for New Graduate. Many collective years of experience, offering a supportive working environment. Striving to keep a positive atmosphere in the hospital each day for both the clients and employees to enjoy. This is a full-time permanent position with a wide variety in caseload with certificates fully funded and encouraged. The ideal candidate needs to be an experienced Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon registered with the VCI and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
The role of Clinical Director requires a candidate to have the following:
- Competent in all Large Animal scenarios
- Excellent clinical skills
- Personable an effective communicator
- Leadership and management knowledge or appreciation for same
- Focus on clinical excellence and best practice policies
Ideally some experience in management would be preferred but the role would suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to step up and progress in their career. The successful candidate would need to be enthusiastic, caring, and passionate. You will need to work well within a team but also be able to lead it when required. All the usual equipment including digital x-ray, Idexx blood analysis, ultrasound, dental, gaseous anaesthesia, Equine x-ray facilities, large animal surgery, stocks, stables, calf pens. Located in the centre of Ireland not far from Dublin and Galway. A bustling market town with fantastic cafes, pubs, and restaurants, and is surrounded by stunning countryside and waterways.
