Agria Appoints Janet Hughes As New Head Of Veterinary Business

Agria Pet Insurance has appointed Janet Hughes to the position of Head of Veterinary Business. Janet will be responsible for ensuring that veterinary practices receive the support they need from Agria to grow their business and provide best quality care.

Janet is a well-known figure in the veterinary profession and a regional organiser for the VPMA. In her previous roles she has been instrumental in launching pet health plans in practices – widely perceived to be one of the components that practice have to get right in order to drive client loyalty and practice profitability. Janet’s expertise in this area and her business acumen means that she has the ear of many practice owners and managers. She is very experienced in people management and is looking forward to enabling the Agria Sales team to deliver excellence in all they do.

Janet says she is excited to be remaining within the vibrant veterinary industry with a leading supplier, “The move to Agria is extremely timely, as the company is at the forefront of the pet and vet sector and fully committed to investing and developing innovative new products.  I’ve gained a good understanding of what veterinary practices need to be successful and have some strong relationships in this industry.
