Beaphar has expanded its Dimethicare range with the launch of Beaphar Dimethicare Spray for Pets, Home & Car, and Beaphar Dimethicare Line-On for Rabbits, Ferrets and Guinea Pigs. Containing dimethicone, Dimethicare products physically immobilise fleas, ticks, mites and lice, offering an alternative to traditional insecticidal treatments and with 70% of pet owners looking for natural solutions to fleas,1 the range gives retailers an opportunity to offer greater choice in pesticide-free parasite control.
Beaphar Dimethicare Spray for Pets, Home & Car is a dual-purpose, value for money spray for use on pets and in their surroundings. By offering one pesticide-free product for multiple settings, it gives pet owners a convenient and cost-effective option. With price now the second most important factor when choosing a flea treatment, up from seventh place in 2022,2 affordable options like Dimethicare are becoming increasingly important within the category.
Beaphar Dimethicare Line-On for Rabbits, Ferrets and Guinea Pigs extends pesticide-free parasite control into the small animal category. With around 500,000 rabbits and 500,000 guinea pigs in the UK,3 the launch gives retailers an opportunity to better support small pet owners with a simple pesticide-free option. The product is available in a three-pipette pack.
Claire Edmunds, UK Marketing Manager for Beaphar, said, “With household budgets under pressure, retailers need products that combine value with effective parasite control. By expanding the Dimethicare range, Beaphar is making it easier to offer affordable pesticide-free options for cats, dogs and small pets. It also gives shoppers more reason to turn to one trusted brand for the needs of the whole pet household.”
Beaphar’s wider anti-parasite range includes veterinary medicines and non-medicinal products in a variety of easy-to-use formats, including spot-ons, tablets, collars and household treatments. To help retailers maximise the opportunity, Beaphar also provides point of sale materials and access to parasite training modules accredited by AMTRA, VetPol and Vetskill through the Beaphar Training Academy.
