In a pioneering move, Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica will be educating veterinary professionals on its extensive range of small animal products, which includes Vetmedin®, on iPads™.

The first and only animal health company to adopt this innovative technology, veterinary professionals will be able to take advantage of the versatility of the iPad to learn more about each of the products and the tools available to support them in practice. These include Vetmedin’s interactive dose calculator which allows vets to optimise the dose of Vetmedin for each individual case. Soon to go live in the vet section of the new Vetmedin website –
www.vetmedin.co.uk – veterinary practices will be able to download the handy calculator onto their own computers for use in the consult rooms.
“It is often difficult to get everyone at the practice together to learn more about products and the support available to us,” says Robert Dawson, partner at Highcroft Referrals in Bristol. “The portability and versatility of the iPad means that individuals at the practice can quickly view the information, whether they are in the kitchen or one of the consult rooms. And the more technically minded amongst us love having a play on the iPad too!”
