Part-time vet and mother of two Rachel Brown MRCVS BVM&S (pictured) has won a £500 cash prize for clocking-up the most hours with CPD provider, The Webinar Vet, during the first three months of 2013.
Rachel, who has totted-up a whole year’s CPD so far, says that she didn’t realise that the Webinar Vet had started to keep CPD records for its Platinum members’, so the win has come as a real surprise.
“I was signed up to the webinar service by my practice. I was a bit slow on the uptake initially, but now I am into the swing of webinar CPD, Anthony Chadwick and The Webinar Vet have become part of family life,” she says. “In fact my husband has complained on occasion that he even comes to bed with us!” adds the delighted winner.
Working part-time with the demands of family life plus a variety of waif and stray pets, time is always of the essence, says Rachel. “Over time I have become increasingly eager to learn, and now love doing CPD.
“The whole idea of webinars really works for me. You can interrupt and re-watch them as many times as you like, and pause to jot down snippets of useful information. I have also found myself learning about subjects that I would never otherwise have considered signing up or travelling to.
“I’m thrilled to have won the top prize and will probably put it towards our family summer holiday this June, and would just like to thank Kirsty Hosford of Premier vets for signing me up to the Webinar Vet in the first place!” adds Rachel.More from
