Canine Mobility Study Shows Nutraquin Chews Deliver Rapid And Sustained Support In Canine Mobility
New 30-day study with VidiVet reveals significant support in joint comfort and mobility in dogs.
Pet health brand Nutravet has released findings from a 30-day comprehensive study demonstrating the efficacy of its Nutraquin joint support chews.
Research indicates that up to 35% of all dogs will be affected by joint stiffness at some point in their lives, impacting their mobility, comfort and quality of life. Nutravet conducted a mobility survey in collaboration with VidiVet, as part of their ongoing focus on delivering proven results of their products.
The study surveyed 130 dogs over a 30-day period, who were assessed by vets after 7 days of supplementation to identify early responses, followed by a final assessment at 30 days to evaluate longer-term impact on mobility and overall comfort.
Not all dogs that signed up for the initial benchmark survey were enrolled onto the study. This was to ensure the dogs in the study represented cases suitable for standard nutraceutical intervention without compromising animal welfare or skewing results with severe pathology.
Key veterinary findings
A short video was mobility scored at each stage by the VidiVet vets.
- 58% of dogs showed improvement within just 7 days, as assessed by vets
- 81% of dogs showed improvement by day 30, indicating continued and enhanced benefits over time
In addition to veterinary assessments, pet owners provided feedback on their dogs’ progress throughout the study:
Pet owner-reported outcomes
- 74% of owners observed improvements within 7 days
- 94% of owners reported improvements within 30 days
Some examples of feedback from pet owners include:
“There has been some improvement when out walking off lead, if he sees something that he wants he is quite happy to run after it. They must also taste nice because he waits for his chew every morning now!”
“I have noticed that she is much spritelier and is doing more trotting and running than before.”
“Since starting the supplements we’ve noticed a general improvement in his agility. He is a lazy dog, so his activity hasn’t really changed but his stiffness especially around stairs and getting on and off the sofa has improved.”
