Cardiology Specialist Hosts CPD Heart To Heart

In the lead up to Valentine's Day a group of vets and nurses gathered for a heart-focused CPD session hosted by Xavier Navarro-Cubas, head of cardiology at Blaise Veterinary Referral Hospital.
The session, ‘Fall in Love With Your Auscultation: Murmurs, Arrhythmias and Auscultatory’ helped attendees to deepen their understanding of auscultation in puppies and kittens, discussing interventional procedures and cutting-edge techniques that encourage a comprehensive approach to paediatric cardiac health.
Selling out in a record two weeks, this was the premier CPD event held in IVC Evidensia’s new multi-disciplinary hospital that brings veterinary ECC referrals to Birmingham for the first time.
Having only opened in November Navarro-Cubas, reflected on the evening saying “It has been wonderful to meet more colleagues from our surrounding practices tonight. We’re such a friendly and collaborative team here, it’s a pleasure to invite them to eat, learn and share our passion for healthy pets and happy owners”.
