Dr Kelly Foden To Offer End-of-life Care In Taunton And South Somerset With Dignipets
Dignipets, a UK leader in home-based end-of-life and palliative veterinary care, has announced the appointment of Kelly Foden BVetMed MRCVS as their latest addition to the team. As a Dignipets Partner, Kelly’s long experience of compassionate practice will offer high quality end-of-life care to families in the Taunton and South Somerset area, strengthening Dignipets’ presence in the South-West of England.
Having graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, Kelly brings fourteen years of experience in first opinion small animal practice to her role. A strong emphasis on building relationships and providing continuity of care for clients, along with a passion for problem solving in medicine and surgery, align perfectly with Dignipets’ commitment to improve the quality and perception of end-of-life veterinary care to benefit pets and their families.
Speaking on her decision to join Dignipets, Kelly said “I value the experience of building lasting relationships with pets and their owners through every stage of life and find it especially rewarding to support pet owners through the most difficult times. There’s nothing more challenging than saying goodbye to a pet, but I feel it is a privilege to be able to help make a pet’s passing as peaceful and compassionate as possible.”.
As a Dignipets partner, Kelly will offer home visits for palliative and end-of-life care as well as euthanasia, giving families in the Taunton and South Somerset area the option of a familiar and comforting setting for their pets’ final chapter. Kelly joins a growing community of vets under the company’s Joint Venture Partnership (JVP) model, which allows them to run their own flexible and unique services while still having the support of shared systems, training and a network of Dignipets professionals to offer support and guidance if needed.
Dr Merel Taal BVetMed MRCVS, Founder and Director of Dignipets, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Kelly to the Dignipets team. Her empathy and genuine interest in supporting pets and their owners with compassion embodies everything that we stand for. As awareness of at-home palliative care continues to grow, our goal is to make this service accessible to every pet owner across the UK. Welcoming Kelly’s unique expertise takes us another step closer to that vision, and we’re proud to celebrate every new vet who joins us on this journey.”
