E-quarist Course Now Available On Vetacademy
A course developed by an Australian vet, Dr Rob Jones, and aimed at those with an interest in aquatic medicine has been added to the wide selection of online training available on Vetacademy. The e-quarist course consists of eight modules with a ninth scheduled to follow in 2017. Heavily practical in focus, the modules are designed for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and aquarists working in the aquarium and aquaculture fields, who wish to fast-track their knowledge and skills in this rapidly-growing area.
Dr Rob Jones, known as ‘The Aquarium Vet’ in Australia, comments: “I developed the e-quarist course in order to help others to gain the knowledge and experience that I now have in the aquarium field - but without taking so long to get there. It has since been accredited a Learning Partner by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.”

Commenting, Dr G Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream, said: “With the growing importance of aquaculture, demand for the veterinary management of aquaria is increasing rapidly.
