East of England Veterinary Specialists Team
East Of England Veterinary Specialists Joins CVS
East of England Veterinary Specialists in Royston, Cambridgeshire, has joined CVS Group.
The referrals hospital is one of only a very small number of specialist-led orthopaedic sites in the UK. It covers all aspects of orthopaedics; from lameness investigation to routine elective surgery and advanced procedures - including limb deformity treatment and total joint replacement.
The hospital has an excellent reputation with two highly regarded orthopaedic surgeons - Mark Bush and Martin Owen. Mark and Martin are both RCVS recognised specialists and diplomats, and Mark is the Chairman of the British Veterinary Orthopaedics Association. Both will be staying on with the practice as Clinical Directors, along with the hospital’s 16 colleagues.
Built originally as a human hospital, the site was converted into a veterinary clinic with two spacious operating theatres, a DR radiography suite and an on-site CT scanner to allow for rapid, accurate diagnosis of orthopaedic problems. The hospital also has an extensive range of orthopaedic equipment and implants to manage all situations and optimise the outcome for patients. In addition there is comfortable accommodation for cats and dogs, separate cat and dog waiting areas, a seminar room, offices and a reception.
Helen Baxter, Referrals Director at CVS Group, said: “East of England Veterinary Specialists is an exceptional practice. We are thrilled to welcome Mark and Martin, and their highly experienced team, into our CVS Referrals Division. We look forward to supporting the practice in continuing to provide the very best specialist care to their clients and patients in the region.”
Mark Bush and Martin Owen said: “We are pleased to have joined CVS. Being part of a large group brings us all a measure of security, a wealth of support, and additional career opportunities for staff, whilst enabling us to continue to offer the clinical service on which we have based our reputation.”
East of England Veterinary Specialists was established in March 2018. It provides a referral service in small animal orthopaedics currently for 296 first opinion small animal practices in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and the surrounding areas.
