Finalists Announced For The 2025 Petplan Veterinary Awards
Awards ceremony to be held on 20thNovember at London Vet Show
Now in its 26th year, the Petplan Veterinary Awards continues to shine a spotlight on the outstanding dedication and expertise within the UK’s veterinary profession. With over 41,000 nominations received in 2025 – the highest number received since 2018, these prestigious awards recognise the individuals and teams who go above and beyond to support clients and their pets, even in the most challenging times.
This year’s finalists have been selected by an independent panel of industry leaders and experts, including presidents of veterinary and nursing associations. The judging process is rigorous and impartial, ensuring that only the most deserving candidates are celebrated.

Each finalist embodies the qualities that define veterinary excellence: compassion, teamwork, innovation, and a relentless commitment to animal welfare. Every nomination tells a unique story of dedication and care, reflecting the vital role veterinary professionals play in communities across the UK.

Vet of the Year

- Julie Ling - Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4Pets, Kingsway
- Sonya Miles - Highcroft Exotic Vets, Bristol
Vet Nurse of the Year
- Hayley Ford - Old Mill Veterinary Practice, Stornoway
- Joy Shutt - AllPets Veterinary Clinic, Prestatyn
- Rachel Hewson - Belle Vue Veterinary Practice, Wigton, Cumbria
Practice Support Staff of the Year
- Angie Mendez - The 387 Veterinary Centre, Walsall
- Hannah Reid - Westport Veterinary Clinic, South Queensferry
- Louise O’Reily - Llanrumney Vets4Pets, Cardiff
Practice Manager of the Year
- Debbie-Leigh Edwards - Pool House Veterinary Hospital, Lichfield
- Fiona Leather - Westport Veterinary Clinic, South Queensferry
- Julie Beacham - Wendover Heights Veterinary Centre
Practice of the Year
- Coastal Veterinary Group, King’s Lynn
- Sanderson Vet, Wirral

All finalists will attend the prestigious awards ceremony, which will take place in the Platinum Suites, ExCeL London, on Thursday 20th November 2025, at the London Vet Show. The evening promises to be a memorable celebration of achievement, inspiration, and the very best in veterinary care.
