Free CPD For Vets And Vet Nurses With Osurnia Roadshow
Elanco will support veterinary professionals with a free CPD Roadshow focusing on the management and treatment of canine otitis externa (OE) and the launch of Osurnia – the revolutionary first-line OE treatment.
The Osurnia Roadshow will visit eight venues spread across the country throughout May and June, with each event headed by a leading veterinary dermatologist.
Alice Laurens, DVM MRCVS, therapeutics marketing manager at Elanco Animal Health said it's important vets are up to date on OE management: “Otitis externa is a common challenge for both vets and clients, with ear infections among the top 10 reasons dogs are presented to vets[1]. Education on this topic will support vets in managing these cases and update them on exciting new innovations within the therapy area.’’
Each event will feature a lecture on managing acute OE in dogs, delivered by a leading veterinary dermatologist, and will be followed by a question and answer session. There will also be an opportunity to hear from an Elanco Veterinary Technical Consultant on how the company can support your dermatology business and pet owners.
While OE is known to affect up to 20 per cent of dogs[1], studies have shown owner compliance during treatment can be a problem, with up to 80 per cent of owners administering the incorrect dose[2]. The Roadshow will explore how vets can improve compliance and the clinical outcome of OE cases.
Osurnia puts the control back into vets’ hands, with just two doses, one week apart. This helps to reduce the stress of owner and dog when it comes to administration, and removes the issue of owner compliance.
