Global veterinary training company Improve International has expanded its operations into the Nordic region – Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden – and announced its first independent modular training programmes and short courses. They will commence in May 2019 at IVC Group’s International Vet Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Improve first entered the Nordic region in 2009 in partnership with veterinary group Evidensia and, following a positive response to its approach to training and development, has set up a dedicated operation to serve the continuing professional development (CPD) needs of veterinary professionals across the region.  Its popular Postgraduate Certificates in Small Animal Medicine, Small Animal Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging are the first to be offered in the Nordic countries, together with a range of practical short courses.

During 2019 Improve will mark 21 years of providing high quality, modular veterinary CPD.  Founded in the UK, it now has operations in more than 20 countries. It works closely with its assessment partner, the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies and Harper Adams University in the UK, which provides the higher education body quality assurance, in running programmes covering a growing range of practice disciplines.

Commenting on its expansion into the Nordic region, Mr David Babington MRCVS, Business Development Director at Improve, said: “The importance which veterinarians in the region attach to CPD has become clear to us over the last nine years and this has supported our decision to set up our own operation, with continuing support from Evidensia.  It is also confirmation of our commitment to make our highly regarded CPD as accessible as possible to veterinarians around the world. We are very excited at this next step for Improve and look forward to welcoming delegates from the Nordic countries during 2019.”

Part of the Benchmark Plc Group and based in Swindon, Improve International provides high quality CPD in a range of formats for veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, receptionists and practice managers to help them to develop their skills and knowledge.  Led by global experts, Improve’s programmes use a combination of review lectures, case-based discussion and, where applicable, hands-on practical sessions. Each is supported by an online learning platform providing notes, additional learning resources and the ability for delegates to discuss clinical cases in a closed forum.
