Kevin and Annemiek, who met over a spay over 10 years ago have opened their own Vets4Pets small animal practice this month, the 224th Joint Venture practice to open in the UK under the Vets4Pets and Companion Care umbrella.
“Kevin and Annemiek have been great to work with and I’ve enjoyed being part of their new business start up process, their practice is one of eight that have opened over the last month, but I’m pretty sure they are the only married couple we’ve had open a new practice together for a while!” Mark Hanson, Kevin and Annemiek’s Partner Relationship Manager.
The Andover practice opened its doors to the local community on the 17th June, hosting a Gala Open Day with activities for the children, tours around the new practice and raising money for local charities.
“We wanted our own practice mainly because we wanted the freedom to practice veterinary medicine to our own exacting standard and with twin 2year old boys at home we wanted to be able to arrange work and personal/family life to complement each other.” Explains Kevin.
The Andover site went through the usual high standard conversion complying with the RCVS GP Practice Standard and it kitted out with all the usual mod cons all Vets4Pets and Companion Care practices are fitted with from day 1.
“It’s all been smooth sailing so far.....everyone’s been extremely helpful and kind and the practice looks great!” adds Annemiek.
