The collaboration of the IVC New Graduate Academy with Vet-eCPD is an exciting development within the Veterinary Profession- both ventures are looking to change the way that support and continued education are delivered to those newly entering the profession and as they continue along their career path.
At the start of their CPD programme last month, all members of the IVC New Graduate Academy received a subscription to Vet-eCPD, giving them unlimited access to a growing library of high quality online lectures, how to videos, articles and lecture notes delivered by some of the UK’s top specialists, which compliments the structured CPD programme and mentoring that IVC provides.
Vet-eCPD director Jo Hillard said“ Supporting the IVC new grad academy is exciting for us as we are obviously very passionate about CPD and the role it plays in helping vets and vet nurses move confidently forward in their careers so it’s great to get on board with such a great scheme. For new graduates to have access to Vet-eCPD can really help grow their confidence in Practice- from watching a how to video on thoracocentesis to an in depth lecture series on feline anaethesia, there is a huge amount of material for them to access anytime or place to make those first few months in Practice a little less daunting. Graduate schemes are commonplace in so many other sectors and it is great that this is now being implemented within the Veterinary profession in such a structured format”.
