Johnson’s Veterinary Products has been unveiled as Supplier of the Year at the annual Pet Industry Federation (PIF) Awards, which aims to showcase the remarkable individuals and businesses who uphold the highest standards of quality in the UK pet market.

During a black-tie gala dinner at the Chesford Grange Hotel on 9thNovember, the Midlands-based pet healthcare product manufacturer was commended for its steadfast commitment to maintaining strong relationships with its customers and improving its service offering, scooping the prestigious prize in front of a gathering of industry peers and specialists.

Daniel Everett, Operations Manager at PIF, explained the reason for Johnson’s win: “A family-owned, independent pet product provider, Johnson’s was founded in 1921 and has remained true to its core roots.

“The judges were impressed that they had invested significantly in streamlining their ordering processes and were unwavering in their dedication never to become a faceless brand. Through the hard work of their active salesforce, they continue to stick by this.”

The PIF Awards aims to recognise and celebrate excellence within the pet industry by highlighting the exceptional talent and diversity that drives the industry forward.

Paul Gwynn, Johnson’s Managing Director, added: “The best interests of both our customers and the nation's pets has been the focus of our business for over one hundred years, so for PIF to publicly acknowledge how this commitment has benefitted the industry certainly gives us the confidence that our dedication is both appreciated and warranted.

“Over the coming months, we have many more initiatives and launches planned that we hope will bring about even more benefits to pet stores and pet owners, and this award will certainly spur on our continued development.”

PIF has been supporting manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers operating within the UK pet industry for 75 years, protecting and promoting the interests of all those operating in the market.

The annual awards dinner also saw Johnson’s join several other pet businesses in being recognised for their recent donations to the U-Hearts Foundation charity which supports abandoned pets in Ukraine.

To date, Johnson’s donation of Fipronil spot-on flea solution has treated 15036 dogs in 14 regions across the war-torn country.
