Dr Kathryn Ross with her prize
London Vet Show Competition Winner's Timely Prize
A locum vet who plans to open her own practice in 2016 has won a year's free subscription to Vetstream's comprehensive range of digital services after entering a competition at the London Vet Show. Dr Kathryn Ross from Great Henny in Essex hopes to open a small animal practice in Essex during the first half of the year and says that the company's package of digital clinical reference, CPD and marketing services is just what she needs to help her get her business up and running.
Vetstream, which has provided digital services to the veterinary profession for more than 20 years, also unveiled a fresh new look at the London Vet Show. To help veterinary professionals see at a glance how it can support them, it has now grouped its well-known services into three ranges: 'Treat', 'Learn' and 'Communicate'. They combine, the company says, to offer 'TLC' to the veterinary profession.
'Treat'
Vetstream's Vetlexicon is the world's largest online clinical veterinary reference tool, offering comprehensive, peer-reviewed digital point-of-care information on the veterinary treatments of dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. Accessible 24/7 on any internet-enabled device, it is a unique expert resource available to practices, which is trusted, updated and reviewed by more than 900 of the world’s leading veterinarians.
'Learn'
Vetacademy is Vetstream's user-friendly online platform, providing the whole practice team with the ability to search and select from more than 300 courses from the world’s leading training and CPD providers, including the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Medicine, the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and Elsevier, all brought together in one place.
'Communicate'
To support practices in differentiating and building their business, Vetstream's Webpartner offers a suite of website design, online content and digital marketing services designed specifically for the veterinary profession.
Commenting on Vetstream's new look, Dr G Mark Johnston, Managing Director, explained: "These days, digital information is driving the veterinary profession and this is true whether we are looking to treat patients according to the very latest thinking; keen to develop or refresh our skills or working to build a stronger relationship with our clients.
"Vetstream's resources are already being accessed more than a million times around the world every year and we hope that our new branding will help veterinary professionals realise just what a broad range of support services we can offer them. We have also launched a special package enabling practices to subscribe to all of our services together at a highly cost-effective monthly fee."
He continued: "To celebrate our new look, we were delighted to offer some TLC of our own at the London Vet Show by offering a year's free subscription to all of our services to Dr Kathryn Ross. We are sure she will find them invaluable as she prepares to open her practice and we wish her the very best of luck for an exciting and successful 2016!"
Kathryn Ross added: "I was already familiar with Vetstream so am delighted to have won this package of services which will provide me with invaluable support for the next year. The combination of CPD, clinical point-of-care resources and support in creating my new website is just what I needed and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Thank you Vetstream!"
