- Promote responsible pet ownership
- Make people aware of the benefits of pets to people
- Increase public awareness of services available from professionals involved with pet animals
- Raise awareness of working animals
Each year the responsible pet ownership message is conveyed by running National Pet Week events under a central theme. This year it is "Best of Friends - Best of Health".
Assistance animals and pets make a positive difference to so many people. We need to repay them by treating them with kindness, respect and ensuring they stay healthy and well.
National Pet Week is a registered charity and unique in bringing together the work of animal welfare charities and professional bodies throughout the UK with the common goal of improving the welfare of pets.
Asda are proud to be sponsoring National Pet Week for the second year running. During this event we will be running a charity pet food collection scheme in all our stores. Visit your local Asda store for a wide range of pet food, treats and accessories.
