Norbrook To Focus On Ageing Pets At This Years BSAVA

The Pestigon range The upcoming BSAVA Congress is the venue for Norbrook Laboratories ltd to launch a new campaign aimed at giving geriatric pets a new lease of life. The campaign, which will be promoted in veterinary practices, will help pet owners to recognise the signs of ageing and encourage them to have their pets checked out for any health problems as they approach their twilight years. “Our focus at BSAVA will be ageing pets and the wide range of products which Norbrook has available to treat a multitude of ailments and issues which older pets face,” outlines Michelle Jones, Norbrook Brand Manager (Small Animals). “We want veterinary practices to visit us on our stand (Stand no 516) to sign up to the campaign which will give them access to a range of practice support materials which will help them educate pet owners about signs of ageing. The materials will include brochures on ageing pets, signs of old age, arthritis and pain management for pet owners as well as grooming brushes and posters to promote geriatric clinics which practices might wish to hold. Practices involved in the campaign can also avail of client talks on ageing pets given by Norbrook’s inhouse vet. However I would encourage practices to sign up to our campaign as quickly as possible as the client talks will be offered on a first come first serve basis.” The campaign promotes Norbrook’s range of products suitable for ageing pets- including NSAIDs for arthritic pets (Loxicom and Carprieve), circulatory products to make old dogs more alert (Propentofylline), grooming products to give their skin and coats a healthy and youthful look (Pet healthcare range) along with other supplements to boost general health. “Our helpful sales team will be available on stand to discuss the campaign with delegates and chat about our wide product range and advise on exclusive offers we have available,” adds Michelle. “Practices who sign up for the campaign on stand at BSAVA will also have the chance to enter a competition to win a case of wine.” Beyond the on stand activities, Norbrook are running an exhibitor session on Thursday 4th April in the Waterfront lounge on the myths of fipronil resistance. This session is being led by Maggie Fisher who is an expert in parasitology. The session takes place from 11.50am to 12.50pm.
