Veterinary surgeon and director, Caroline Collins, from Pennard Vets celebrates becoming a member of XLVets.
Pennard Vets Becomes Latest Member Of XLVets
Independent veterinary group Pennard Vets has joined XLVets as its 71st member, becoming part of the collaborative community of independently owned practices committed to sharing knowledge, experience and best practice.
Founded in Sevenoaks, Kent in 1890, Pennard Vets operates eight practices across Kent, including sites in Allington, Borough Green, Langley Park, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and West Malling, as well as Priory Lodge Vets in Tonbridge. In 2021, the practice became employee-owned, reflecting its commitment to independence, clinician-led decision making and team involvement.
By joining XLVets, Pennard Vets will work alongside fellow independent practices from across the UK, sharing expertise, clinical insight and practical experience to support continual improvement in veterinary care.
Caroline Collins, veterinary surgeon and director at Pennard Vets, said: “Our decision to join XLVets reflects a very natural alignment in values. We are proud of our independence and our employee-owned structure, and we are equally committed to continual learning and improvement. XLVets offers a unique platform to collaborate with other like-minded practices, share knowledge openly and strengthen the care we provide to our clients and their pets.
"We believe there is always more to learn from others in the profession. Being part of a community that actively encourages the exchange of ideas, experiences and expertise is incredibly valuable for our teams and ultimately for the pets we treat and their owners.”
Kerrie Hedley, XLVets' CEO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Pennard Vets to the XLVets community. From the outset, the team has demonstrated the collaborative spirit that sits at the heart of XLVets, with a genuine willingness to share knowledge, learn from others and contribute to the wider network.
“What makes practices valuable members of XLVets is their commitment to collaboration, openness and supporting fellow independent practices. We often say that you get out of XLVets what you put in, and Pennard Vets has already demonstrated that approach through its willingness to engage, share ideas and learn from others. We look forward to working together as part of our community.
“Like our existing members, Pennard Vets is committed to delivering high standards of independent veterinary care and to continually improving outcomes for patients, clients and teams through shared learning and cooperation.”
